On 20 Aug. 2016, this was the first time Venus Weightlifting Cup become an amateur Olympic Weightlifting competition held in China. We’ve received a great number of attention and aroused the awareness of weightlifting up and down the country.

On 2 Jul. 2017, Venus Weightlifting Cup come to the center of fashion, Taiping Lake, Xintiandi, to give a weightlifting competition a touch of fashion. It was the highlight of the Adidas Summer Campaign.

In the last two months of 2017, Venus Weightlifting went to 8 major cities across the country, Shenzhen, Xi'an, Nanjing, Peking, Hangzhou, Shanghai, Changsha and Chengdu to show people what was a real Olympic weightlifting competition like. It gained considerable popularity and every athletes presented their courage and spirit.

Venus Weightlifting has hold a Junior competition successfully for 174 students from Jingan district in Shanghai. In this competition, Venus Weightlifting tried to make everything suitable and fun for Kids.

About VWC
Venus Weightlifting Club is the first and only independent weightlifting club in China, headquartered in Shanghai, with more than 650 active members, VWC is the official partner of the Chinese Weightlifting Association, a government organisation set to find, coach and mentor potential Olympic-level athletes.
VWC aims to bring Chinese-style weightlifting to the masses where this was once the preserve of state sponsored athletes, VWC is promoting the same training methods and coaching to amateurs all over China and beyond.
